Machame Route
also known as the Whiskey Route
Machame Route is most known for it various habitats and varying landforms. The route begins on Kilimanjaro's Southern Slope near the Southern Ice Field. We hike this route because it allows enough time for acclimatization which increases our chances of reaching Uhuru Peak. The Machame Route takes 6 or 7 days depending on the groups experience level.
It's important to know that for each route, the packaged route is built on the specified time to complete the trek. If more time is required, the price per person will go up for the additional days on the mountain upon request!
